Q: “Hey! I want to make a badass paper plane to strafe fellow office workers. Any tips?” JH, Mornington, VIC
A: “When it comes to paper planes, you’ve got stunt planes that do things like loop-the-loops, you’ve got darts that fly fast and hard that you can hit someone from the other side of the office, and you’ve got gliders that stay in the air for a long time,” says Alex Schultz, paper plane expert at

“It sounds like you want a dart. Here’s one I designed myself called the ‘Dragon’ and it will fly exactly where you throw it.

“Use A4 paper, because you’ll find that as you fold it the front of the plane may burst open a little bit because you crease it so hard. That’s okay, though – as it means you’ve packed it densely enough.”
