The Thing: Happy Socks

It’s not surprising that Happy Socks came out of Sweden: they’ve got it good over there. A faraway land of great meatballs where the average person is as good looking as Victoria Silvstedt was bound to have two jovial guys such as Mikael Söderlindh and Viktor Tell call it home and create these socks of joy.
In case you missed the blinding trend, this season is all about colour; add a touch of it and that kooky girl with the lopsided bob may take notice. Given that cuffing your pants and exposing the ankle is also the way forward, make the socks fun without awakening the dragon.
Made in a family-owned mill in Turkey (that had previously been making army socks) every sock is finished with a hand-stitched toe to provide the snuggest of fits. They’re top-notch quality toe warmers at a price that won’t blow your socks off. Ahem.
The love belowAndré 3000’s loopy take on everything has always defied convention, yet somehow works. While his sense of style might look insane on Barry from IT, on André it’s just pioneering. One adoptable feature is his penchant for cuffing his pants high, revealing colourful, patterned socks. Next? Tintin style plus-fours pants, presumably. Tally ho, Snowy!
